2019 EnRoute Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley
From Far Niente, EnRoute is their first foray outside of Napa Valley. The 2019 EnRoute truly captures the beauty and magic of the Russian River Valley. Raise a glass full of opulence and silk from start to end, with lovely fruit and spice notes that linger on the palate. The name, EnRoute, is a nod to the journey the partners—including Beth Nickel, Erik Nickel, Jeremy Nickel, Dirk Hampson and Larry Maguire—have taken on their way to producing Pinot Noir, which began in the 1980s in Burgundy.

2018 Côtiere Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills
A consistent favorite at Velvet 48, Côtiere always over-delivers and the Santa Rita Hills is no exception.
Kevin Law grew up in Santa Barbara and studied Meteorology & Geology at UC Santa Barbara so it only makes sense that he makes wine in Santa Barbara! He founded Côtière (which means ‘coastal’ in French) in 2006 with a focus on Pinot Noir. All the while, he has quietly made a name for himself by crafting pure, restrained, very well-balanced wines appreciated by wine critics and wine enthusiasts alike.
